Bieman de Haas
Say hello to Bieman de Haas, our newest collection! We had the amazing fortune to run into Bieman de Haas, aka BR (Bieman Riding), at their first US trade show. It was definitely love at first sight!
The company was founded in 1928 as a manufacturer of ropes and leather goods for the agricultural sector in the Netherlands. It later began to produce exclusively for equestrian sport and has become one of the top five largest wholesalers of equestrian products in Europe. It is run by the fourth generation of the Den Bieman family.
Today, BR is comprised of several different brands including ANKY®, a line that was originally founded by multiple Olympic champion, Anky van Grunsven.
That’s the history, now the products!
Superb quality at affordable prices. Reliable products. Those are two phrases that ring true with BR.
Take the BR Xcellence Rug. It is an anatomically shaped rug with 380 grams of fleece, a lined chest with an additional layer of fleece and is anti-pilling. There is a fleece wither protector and two adjustable chest straps. The hidden cross surcingles are adjustable and detachable. It has cord piping and decorative tape, and it is machine washable! We tried the rug on a Welsh pony, Smarty Pants, and a 16.3 Westphalen, Oscar. Different sizes of course! The rug fit as though it was custom made. Retail price? $85.00.
Check out the BR Porto Competition shirt. Super sharp and also machine washable. The fitted style has some stretch to it with a moisture regulating, breathable technical fabric. For a sporty top, this piece is incredibly elegant. The shirt is a short sleeve, has a stand-up collar with five press studs and subtle contrasting details. Retail price? $71.00.
You want matching saddle pads, ear bonnets and tendon boots? BR has you covered.
Leg protectors for your priceless best friend and competition partner anyone? How about the BR boot with synthetic patent leather, Croco print and a soft synthetic sheepskin lining? I personally am in love with this boot! The impact zone is reinforced with a layer of shock absorbing neoprene for extra protection. Three heavy Velcro fastenings with elastic inserts help to create the perfect fit. The lining evenly distributes pressure and helps to prevent rubbing. Retail price? $69.00/pair.
And all of this is just a tiny sampling of what is to come to our shop. Our first order arrived just prior to COVID19. Then the warehouses shut down, and we are excitedly awaiting more pieces. We encourage you to check back regularly for new arrivals.
As always, contact us with any questions or pieces that you are looking for. Don’t forget, our logo is “barn life to town life”. We are more than happy to help you dress yourself and now your horse!
